PRESIDENT
Felicia Beard is the President of Paper Trails (www.mypapertrailsonline.com) – a consulting firm created to connect individuals, not-for-profit organizations, and businesses to the resources they need to be successful.
Ms. Beard graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo with a Masters of Science Degree in Applied Public Affairs, a Bachelors of Arts in Legal Studies and from the State University of New York at Buffalo Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership’s Allstate Program. Recognizing that continual improvement in her areas of expertise require continuing education she has participated in many conferences throughout the nation, as well as workshops presented locally by the Empire State Development Agency and Small Business Development Center.
Throughout her career Ms. Beard worked in executive level positions. In 2001 she was appointed by the Mayor of Buffalo to administer a $30 million workforce development program. Under her leadership this program was able to place approximately 5,500 youth from 14 – 21 years old in internships, secondary education, or long term employment.
Ms. Beard is a connector and her relationship building skills have opened many doors to opportunities on behalf of the communities and individuals she serves. As a result she has relationships with banks, government institutions, employers, community based organizations, churches, and government representatives. Furthermore, she successfully secured more than $2 million in grant funding for not-for-profit organizations.
Ms. Beard’s experience is diverse. Having worked in community and economic development, healthcare management – Obamacare, small business development, and workforce development, she is a valuable resource at Paper Trails. Currently, she is member of Leadership Buffalo; The Erie County Chapter of Links, Inc.; and Vice President of the board at Elim Community Corporation.
